Summary

Enhanced Collaboration Features

This update empowers group admins by allowing them to close conversations and manage message flow. Additionally, messages sent to empty groups are routed to the admin, preventing confusion. Finally, users cannot send messages to groups with restricted communication settings.

New Rooms Feature (SAAS & ON-PREMISE)

Previously, Rooms allowed creating video conference links with restricted access. Now, users can create meeting links with various access controls:
  • Public Room: Anyone can join, regardless of being a TOTR user.
  • Guest Room (On-Premise Only): Requires guest user authentication and allows internal TOTR users to join. (Requires “Rooms” and “Guest” features activation, contact your reseller)
  • Internal Room (Both): Only authenticated internal TOTR users can join.
  • Restricted Room (Both): Only invited TOTR users can join

Advanced Messaging SAAS & ON-PREMISE)

  • Forward Messages & Attachments: Forward messages and attachments to existing TOTR group conversations.
  • Delete Messages/Attachments: Delete sent messages or attachments in private or group conversations, removing them from all participants’ devices.

Improved Channel Management (Saas & On-Premise - Requires Activation)

  • Webchat Group/Channel Management: Authorized Webchat users can create, edit, and delete channels. Administrators can manage channel names, participants, and deletion directly from Webchat. (Requires “Allow users to create and modify groups on webchat” activation, contact your reseller)
  • Shareable Channel Invites: Webchat users can invite others to channels by sharing a dedicated channel link.
  • Multi-Channel PTT for Dispatchers (Both): Webchat dispatchers can transmit simultaneously to up to ten channels.
  • Enhanced Mobile PTT Sounds (Both): Mobile users gain greater control over Push-to-Talk (PTT) sounds, choosing notification sounds and PTT beep tones.
  • Text-to-Speech Channel Names (Both): The selected channel name will be read aloud when switching channels with a physical channel selector button or accessory.

Streamlined administration and user management

  • Bulk User Updates (Both):Administrators can efficiently update multiple user details simultaneously (name, alias, profile, email, department, etc.).
  • Enhanced Features (Requires Activation)

    • Bulk User Updates: Administrators can now efficiently update multiple user details simultaneously, including first/last name, alias, profile, email, department, position, priority, and more.

    Enhanced Geolocation Management (Requires Activation)

    • Open Third-Party Geolocation Data: Mobile users can now open Point of Interest (POI) addresses and geolocation attachments received within the app, simplifying navigation and location sharing.
    • Webchat High-Speed Tracking ActivationWebchat dispatchers can activate temporary High-Speed Tracking for users with On-Demand or Tracking geolocation enabled directly from the Webchat interface.

    Advanced Telephony (Requires Activation)

    • Local Phone Directory Integration: Access and communicate with contacts directly from your local phone directory within the TOTR mobile app. Set favorites for quick access. (Requires “Call via PBx” or “Cellular Call” activation).
    • Outgoing Call Barring: Administrators can create call barring lists to prevent users from calling specific phone numbers based on country code, patterns, or short codes/toll numbers. Lists can be customized by department, user profile, or individual user. (Requires “TOTR call or Call via PBx” activation).

    Geolocation Management (ON-PREMISE - REQUIRES ACTIVATION)

    • Open Third-Party Geolocation Data: Mobile users can open Point of Interest (POI) addresses and geolocation attachments received within the app.

    Additional Improvements (SAAS & ON-PREMISE)

    • Operating System Update: Upgraded to RedHat 9 Update 2 for improved system stability and security (On-Premise).
    • Simplified Deployment (MDM Users – Both): MDM (Mobile Device Management) users can now push OneMAPK configurations (containing QR Code content from the SuperAdmin interface) to multiple mobile devices simultaneously. Previously, this required manual QR code scanning for each device. OneMAPK allows for mobile app customization without generating new packages (SSL certificates.
