Team on Mission 4.2 introduces several enhancements designed to streamline user experiences and provide administrators with greater control. This update offers new features that aim to improve conversation management, map settings, and data storage.

Features for end-users

  1. Webchat Dispatcher can terminate a PTT Group call or emergency group call he is participating in

  • · Webchat Dispatchers can now tear down a PTT group call or Emergency group call regardless of his role in the call (initiator or recipient).
Benefit:
  • The Webchat dispatcher plays a controlling role in managing the status and progression of the call. Previously, the call would continue until either the initiator or the second-to-last participant left.

  1. Support of pre-arranged mode for broadcast group call

  • Authorized webchat users can now trigger a broadcast group call for a towards a group containing a 3GPP client. Moreover, authorized 3GPP user can trigger a broadcast call.
  • Broadcast calls are now supported in pre-arranged mode, so that, the user invited can still join the call after it has begun and until the initiator ends the call.

  1. Mute Message notifications per conversation

  • Any users, from their mobile application or Webchat account, can now mute message notifications of one or more conversations.
  • The new option only applies to message notification in private or group conversation. Call from a muted conversation will still be received.
  • This option does not apply for emergency communications.

  • Reduce distractions
  • Control messages notifications from highly active groups
  • Prioritize important communications

  1. Rooms: Whiteboard access from a Room*

Rooms, our sovereign collaborative solution for secure and effective virtual meetings now includes a secure Whiteboard.
  • Any user connected to a room via Webchat can now access the whiteboard associated with that room.
  • Rooms participants can share different drawings and idea in real time with others participants of the same room.
  • The whiteboard content can be exported in png or svg format during the meeting

  • Promote interactive collaboration between attendees
  • Ensure clearer visualization of ideas
  • More interactive exchanges, increasing engagement of the Room’s attendees

  1. NEW Scheduling Module for TOM*

Dispatchers can now efficiently schedule missions and assign team members and assets, optimizing on-site and outdoor operations.

Features for administrator

  1. Enhancing the user experience on bulk assign

  • The administrator experience has been enhanced to allow administrator to concentrate on their daily tasks while the bulk actions (importing, or exporting file) are processed in the background.
Benefit:
  • The administrator will be able perform other to other administrative tasks on the Web Admin while his bulk assignment is processing.

  1. Groups and departments display in list view

  • On Advanced organizations, administrator will now have the list of groups and departments displayed in list view.
Benefit:
  • More Groups and departments are displayed on the page.
  • Admin will proceed to group or department edition or deletion in one click only.
  • Groups and departments with long names will no longer be cut off.
  • Help the admin to save time on his daily tasks.

  1. Configuration of the legal links

  • Administrators can now configure the legal links (terms of use, privacy policies, patent) displayed on authentication page on every platforms (Webchat, administrator portals, api, audit..).

  1. Custom application’s configuration

  • Thze Super administrator of the platform can create specific application configuration file called (client.json) per organization. The configuration file is sent to the mobile client when it connects to the MCPTT server. This is highly technical and addresses topics like feature activation and feature configuration (usb accessories that can connect to the MCPTT server, Voip parameters (codec, bandwith), visitor_channel_prefix …)
Benefit:
  • Enhanced configuration per organization.
  • Before this enhancement, the configuration applied to all organizations on the platform and required some services to be restarted.

  1. New language Support

  • Super administrator of the platform can create custom configuration of the client.json for an organization. the client. json is a configuration file sent to the mobile client when it connects to the backend. This is highly technical and addresses topics like usb accessories that can connect to the backend, Voip parameters, visitor_channel_prefix …
Benefit:
  • This enhancement allows to overwrite the values for a given organization. Before this enhancement, the change impacted all organization on the platform and required some services to be restarted.

Technical feature

  1. RTP/RTCP multiplexing configuration

  • RTP/RTCP multiplexing (RTCP-MUX) is now made configurable.
  • If RTCP-MUX is deactivated, RTP and RTCP packets are multiplexed onto different ports.
Benefit: Prevents floor control packet loss when using RTCP-MUX with RoHC

3GPP Compliance

  1. 3GPP Client interface

  • 3GPP manual affiliation for pre-arranged group calls:
    • A 3GPP client can now affiliate/de-affiliate itself to pre-arranged groups of his choice. If the user is not affiliated, pre-arranged group calls do not trigger his device to ring and upon affiliation he can join an ongoing call.
    • Benefit:
    • Provides 3GPP users with the flexibility to selectively participate in pre-arranged group calls.
  • 3GPP User & group configuration via Control Room Interface:
    • 3GPP User & group configuration via Control Room Interface:
      • Update, for each 3GPP users he has the right over, their contact list and the list of groups they are part of.
      • Update also, for each group he has the right over, the name of the group and list of group members.

      Benefit:

  • Group call encryption with KMS:
    • Group calls to or from 3GPP clients are now encrypted with KMS.
  • Local Ambient Listening – 3GPP client as an initiator:
    • The initiator of a local ambient listening call can now be a 3GPP client.

  1. IWF Interface

IWF (InterWorking Function) interface enables communication between MCPTT users and LMR (Land Mobile Radio) users like Tetra and P25 users. IWF interface is under commercial license.
  • IWF services:
      • Support for MCPTT controlling/IWF participating role (Call and floor control are managed on MCPTT server)
      • MCPTT-IWF support for interworking group calls (Prearranged group call, Chat group call, Emergency Prearranged group call, Broadcast group call)
      • IWF user affiliates once on behalf of all LMR users
      • Manual affiliation of IWF users
      • Late call entry of MCPTT user and LMR user to an ongoing pre-arranged Group Call
      • IWF-MCPTT encryption for HTTP & SIP messages
      • Identity signaling of the originating/terminating and talking parties for all call Types
    Benefit:
    • Ability to link an MCX group to an LMR group

  1. 4G/5G QOS

  • N5 interface (Integration to NR PCF):
  • TOM can be interconnected with a PCF, using N5 HTTP-based protocol, to apply policies (resource and priority reservation) in NR network ensuring that the Quality of Service for MCx traffic is met. Currently, Diameter Rx and N5 cannot be enabled simultaneously, and there is no UI for N5 yet. N5 is configured using Diameter Rx’s interface.
  • Rx/N5 resource management:
    • Allows MCx platform to release bearer resources upon inactivity
    • Benefit:
    • Optimize network resource usage
  • Rx/N5 retry policy:
    • Add a mechanism that handles failed resource reservation requests from MCX to PCRF/PCF functions.
    • Benefit:
    • It improves reliability by automatically retrying resource reservation requests after temporary failures. It also increases the chances of successfully reserving dedicated resources, ensuring that Mission Critical traffic receives the appropriate Quality of Service (QoS), rather than relying on the default bearer.

Audit feature

New administrator role for audited organizations

  • Administrator can create and manage auditor accounts for an organization.
  • Administrator does not have the right to retrieve the organization data.
  • Benefit:
  • Auditor account will not have the right to create & manage other auditor accounts.
