Team on mission On Premise 4.2.1 Version

Team on mission 4.2.1 introduces key enhancements designed to improve operational efficiency, communication, and security for mission-critical users. This update expands the platform’s capabilities with features such as Direct Mode for uninterrupted communication, improved call forwarding, enhanced mobile whiteboard access, and more. Additionally, we have refined location tracking, provided administrators with greater control over feature activation, and introduced more flexible eMBMS configurations to better serve group-based deployments.

Summary

Features for end-users

  1. Direct Mode Operation (off network)

  • This feature enables your mobile users to seamlessly communicate with nearby coworkers through dedicated group calls, when network connectivity to the MCX server is unavailable. By leveraging direct mode communication, mobile users can maintain critical interactions in environments where traditional communication infrastructures may be compromised, such as remote locations, underground facilities, or during network disruptions. This ensures that teams can continue to collaborate effectively, share essential updates, and coordinate operations without interruption, enhancing both productivity and safety in mission-critical scenario.
Direct Mode Operation, enabling seamless communication between mobile users even when network connectivity to the MCX server is unavailable.

  1. Location Based Services: Indoor Beacon location priority over GPS location

  • When a mobile user has indoor beacon-based location activated and the mobile device detects a GPS signal in addition to the beacon signal, The Web Dispatcher will locate the mobile user with his beacon location. This is achieved via the prioritization of the beacon location over the GPS location when both are available.

Benefits:

  • Provides more precise user location tracking in buildings instead of switching back and forth to less precise GPS location.

  1. Room's Whiteboard now available on mobile

  • Rooms, our sovereign collaborative solution for secure and effective virtual meetings, now supports the access to Whiteboard from a mobile in addition to current web access.
  • Rooms mobile participants can share different drawings and ideas in real time with others participants in the same room.

Benefits:

  • Promotes interactive collaboration with mobile attendees
  • Ensures clearer visualization of ideas
  • More interactive exchanges, increasing engagement of the Room’s mobile attendees

* To benefit from Rooms”, the feature should be activated for your organization. To test it, please contact your reseller.

  1. Conferencing testing tool for smooth Rooms end-user experience

  • The solution now offers a testing tool allowing Webchat users invited to a Rooms to check several parameters before or during the video conference. These checks include some configurations on the web browser (Eg: Mic and Camera activation) and on network (Eg: TCP/UDP protocol connection).

Benefits:

  • Detects browser or network issues, enabling easier troubleshooting for the user

Features for administrators

  1. Rooms feature activation per user

  • The organization administrator can now activate the Rooms feature only for some users.
  • User having Rooms option have the right to create and connect to any type of Rooms (from public to restricted).
  • User that does not have Rooms option can only connect to public room.

Benefit:

  • Provides more control and visibility over the number of users who can access this feature.

Technical features

  1. eMBMS: SAI list configuration per group

  • eMBMS Service Areas can now be defined at the group level rather than only at the organization level. Previously, eMBMS services were delivered to the same service area (list of SAIs) with the same Class of Service (CoS) for all groups and departments within an organization.

Benefit:

  • Allows to restrict the use of eMBMS to certain areas (SAI based) at the group level. Ex: members of group A will receive the related multicast flow in SAI 1/SAI 2 while members of group B will receive the related multicast flow in SAI 3/4/5. This provides an optimized use of multicast radio resources.

Conclusion.

Team on mission 4.2.1 reinforces our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that enhance communication, security, and operational efficiency. With improved collaboration tools, direct mode capabilities, and greater flexibility for administrators, this update ensures that teams can operate more effectively in mission-critical environments.
