Summary

Enhanced Channel Management

  • Webchat Group/Channel Management (Requires Activation): Authorized Webchat users can now create, edit, and delete channels, granting greater control over communication groups. Administrators can manage channel names, participants, and deletion directly from the Webchat interface.
  • Shareable Channel Invites: Webchat users can invite others to join channels by sharing a dedicated channel link, simplifying group formation.
  • Multi-Channel PTT for Dispatchers: Webchat dispatchers can now transmit simultaneously to up to ten channels, enhancing communication efficiency in complex scenarios.
  • Improved Mobile PTT Sounds: Mobile users gain greater control over Push-to-Talk (PTT) sounds, choosing notification sounds for taking and releasing the floor, along with two selectable PTT beep tones.
  • Text-to-Speech Channel Names: The selected channel name will be read aloud using text-to-speech when switching channels with a physical channel selector button or accessory, improving accessibility.

Advanced Messaging Features

  • Automatic Attachment Deletion (Configurable: Platform administrators can configure automatic deletion of attachments from user accounts (mobile apps and Webchat) after a set period, ensuring efficient storage management.
  • Forwarding Messages & Attachments: Users can now forward messages and attachments to existing TOM group conversations, expanding collaborative communication options beyond individual contacts.
  • Comprehensive Message/Attachment Deletion: Users can delete entire messages or attachments sent in private or group conversations, removing them from all participants’ devices.

Streamlined Administration

  • Bulk User Updates: Administrators can now efficiently update multiple user details simultaneously, including first/last name, alias, profile, email, department, position, priority, and more.

Enhanced Geolocation Management (Requires Activation)

  • Open Third-Party Geolocation Data: Mobile users can now open Point of Interest (POI) addresses and geolocation attachments received within the app, simplifying navigation and location sharing.
  • Webchat High-Speed Tracking Activation: Webchat dispatchers can activate temporary High-Speed Tracking for users with On-Demand or Tracking geolocation enabled directly from the Webchat interface.

Advanced Telephony (Requires Activation)

  • Local Phone Directory Integration: Users can access and communicate with contacts directly from their local phone directory within the TOM mobile app. They can also designate favorites for quick access.
  • Outgoing Call Barring: Webchat dispatchers can activate temporary High-Speed Tracking for users with On-Demand or Tracking geolocation enabled directly from the Webchat interface.

Robust Audit Server Enhancements

  • Advanced Audit Mode (Configurable): A new Advanced Audit mode offers greater flexibility compared to the basic mode. It allows administrators to configure data recording types (excluding My Business/My Mission processes and admin activities), control audit rights, associate multiple servers to an organization, and activate/select audit servers for specific users/groups.
  • Direct Audio Playback: Auditors can now directly play recorded audio files (channel bursts, PTT calls, and all audio calls) within the audit interface for efficient review.
  • Group Filters: Auditors can filter and retrieve data by group, in addition to individual users.
  • Keyword Search in Messages: Search for specific names or words within messages stored on the Audit server for targeted review.
  • Open ID Authentication: Auditors can log in to the Audit account using their OpenID authentication system for enhanced security.
  • Configurable Attachment Retention: Super administrators can set a retention period for attachments stored on the Audit server, ensuring automatic deletion after a designated timeframe.

Operating System Update

Upgraded to RedHat 9 Update 2 for improved system stability and security.

Simplified Deployment (MDM Users)

MDM OneMAPK Configuration

Mobile Device Management (MDM) users can now push OneMAPK configurations (containing QR Code content from the SuperAdmin interface) to multiple mobile devices simultaneously. Previously, this required manual QR code scanning for each device. OneMAPK allows for mobile app customization without generating new packages, offering flexibility for:

  • SSL certificates
  • Privacy Policy, Help, Terms of Use, and Support Email
  • Look & Feel parameters within the app
  • Port and security settings

Stay tuned for the upcoming update to the Rooms feature, allowing users to create video conference links with various access controls:

  • Public room: any person, whether or not they are a TOM user, can join the room.
  • Internal room: any authenticated internal TOM users can join the room.
  • Restricted room: only invited TOM users can join the room.
